An 10-11 km monsoon trek from Kulem through Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary — railway tracks, jungle trails and mist-covered valleys leading to Dudhsagar at its most powerful.
During the monsoon, the jeep track to Dudhsagar closes — trekking is the only way in, and it’s one of Goa’s most rewarding adventures. Starting from Kulem village, the route covers roughly 10–11 km through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, past railway tracks, seasonal streams, tunnels and dense forest, with the Western Ghats putting on a full monsoon show.
Standing over 1,000 feet tall, Dudhsagar is at its most dramatic in the rains. Your day includes hotel pickup and drop, an experienced Hindi-speaking trekking guide, a support team, and a packed lunch enjoyed in the open at the falls.
A full day from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM — trek in, falls, packed lunch, and trek back out.
Pickup from Baga, Calangute, Arpora, Candolim and Panjim, heading to Kulem to begin the trek.
Reach the trekking point for breakfast at your own cost, then set off on a roughly 10 km trail through Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, crossing streams along the way.
Arrive at the falls and take in the sheer scale of Dudhsagar amid lush, misty green surroundings.
A packed lunch enjoyed in the open, with the falls as your backdrop.
Head back along the same trail to the starting point at Kulem.
Arrive at bus parking and head back to your hotel after a full day in the Western Ghats.
Comfortable, grippy footwear makes all the difference on wet forest trails.
Monsoon showers arrive without warning — come prepared to stay dry.
In case conditions allow a dip in the pool at the base of the falls.
